Dr. Jonathan Barron 

My name is Jonathon Barron and I am ecstatic to be joining the Union Hill and Lacey Springs families where I will be serving as assistant principal at both schools. I am originally from Evansville, Indiana but moved down south to attend Samford University to earn a BS in secondary education.  I completed a MS in Human Environmental Science from The University of Alabama at which time I began my career at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a Child Life Specialist.  As my wife, Noelle, and I began our family I left the hospital to go into the classroom teaching middle school science. At this time, I completed my Ed.S in Educational Leadership for The University of Mississippi. We moved to Decatur in 2011 where I taught middle school, prior to becoming an administrator. During this time I completed my Ed.D from Samford University. This will be my 18th year in public education. Noelle and I have been married for 18 years and have two sons and a daughter.  I am very excited to join the Morgan County Schools family this fall.
